Magical realism and the memory of Gabo at Galería The Gypsy

The most magical thing just happened! A couple of years ago, Tim Buendía commissioned me to do a couple of paintings based on One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez, one of my favorite books ever. A couple of days ago, I received an email from him telling me he had just opened an art gallery in Aracataca (Colombia), the birthplace of Gabo, and that my paintings were part of the exhibition. To say that I feel honored and grateful is a huge understatement 🦋💛
